Blázquez family are devoted to the production of Ibérico products since 1932. The company is located in Guijuelo, in the province of Salamanca, considered as the cradle of Jamón Ibérico.

Suggestion: perfect as a starter accompanied by thinly sliced bread drizzled with extra virgin olive oil or with picos, typical Andalusian crunchy breadsticks.

Iberico Cebo Ham 100g – Jamones Blazquez - Guijuelo (Salamanca) - Castile and Leon

For over eighty years, Jamones Blázquez has committed themselves to producing excellent jamones (cured hams), paletas (pig shoulders) and embutidos ibericos (Iberian cold cuts) based on natural processes. Founded in 1932, the open woodlands dispersed with Holm oaks and acorns are the ideal environment to nurture the cattle. Since then, the third generation of Blázquez has embraced the latest management methods and incorporated them into their facilities filled with tradition, history, wisdom and enthusiasm.

What is Ibérico Cebo Ham?

Iberico hams use black Iberian pigs which bring out a rich, dark meat and a deep, complex flavour. Cebo is the non-acorn fed type of Iberico ham. In particular, all Iberian pigs that are reared by Blázquez are fed on natural fodder in the best parklands. The difference in flavour between the acorn fed ‘Bellota’ and non-acorn fed ‘Cebo’ pigs is extremely subtle; this is mainly because they both use Iberico pigs. However, the ‘Cebo’ lacks the nutty and fruity taste the ‘Bellota’ holds. If you’re looking to try an Ibérico ham, we recommend this as your first.

What does Ibérico Cebo Ham taste like?

The sweet aroma of this full, juicy ham is intense at first, but leaves you with a clean aftertaste. The strong flavours are balanced out by the streaks of mild fat through the meat.
