Artisan Goat Cheese “Garrotxa” type – Matured 45/50 Days - ~ 400g
This Artisan Mature Goat Cheese is produced by Formatges Artesans de Ponent, a small Catalan cheese-maker proud to be producing high quality cheese using ancient methods.
It is made from pasteurised Catalan goats’ milk.
The “Garrotxa” cheese production almost vanished at the end of the 80s. If we can nowadays savour this remarkable goat cheese is thanks to young people who revived its tradition.
This cheese was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2017 and a Bronze Medal at 2011 and 2016 at the World Cheese Awards organised by the Guild of Fine Food.
Suggestion: it pairs well with crusty bread and nuts. Combine it with a glass of Verdejo.
Tip: serve it with pears as a dessert.
