These Authentic Cantabrian Anchovies are meticulously selected by La Lata to guarantee the best quality. Their maturing period is six months. Each anchovy fillet is cleaned and boned by hand.

Preserved in virgin olive oil.

Suggestion: perfect as a starter, alone or on Toasted Bread with Manchego Cheese and Paprika.

Tip: place the anchovies one by one in a nice white dish and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.

La Lata de Braulio - Revilla de Camargo (Cantabria) – Cantabria

The Bay of Biscay is a place renowned for being the origin of some of the best seafood in the world. Rich in choice and life, where the Cantabrian sea crashes into the northern shores of Spain is the only place these authentic anchovies come from. Not only is this the only place, but La Lata de Braulio Cantábrico anchovies in olive oil only use anchovies caught in the Cantabrian sea during a particular fishing season in Spring. The anchovy season lasts just ten weeks, from around mid-April to the end of June, depending on the weather.

Catabrian Anchovies are Handmade

The selected anchovies are processed using the traditional artisan method whereby each anchovy fillet is cleaned individually by hand. After a 6 months maturing period, the anchovies are ready to be tasted. That's what makes these anchovies so special, creating an exquisite eruption of unique flavour. 

Once cured and preserved, these tiny little delicacies become a star ingredient in many traditional tapas dishes adding a unique zest and flavoring wherever it's used.

Who are La lata de Braulio?

Conservas La Lata de Braulio is a small Galician company though it is located in Cantabria. It produces gourmet fish and seafood canned products. La Lata de Braulio makes some of the best anchovies along the Cantabrian sea coast, as well as exquisite mussels from the Rías Gallegas. La Lata de Braulio takes utmost care of the base ingredients and the traditional process so that they can offer fantastic fish and seafood conserves.
