This real Artisan Salchichon is made from Iberian breed pigs fed on acorn or grass over the so-called “Montanera” period, that falls in autumn, when acorns fall from oaks.

Extremadura, where Coto de Galán are located, is considered one of the best-preserved ecosystems in Europe. In this land filled with oak trees, pigs roam freely and grow in their natural environment.

Its curing period is around 3 months.

Suggestion: perfect as a starter, alone or accompanied by Bread Rubbed with Tomato.

Salchichon Iberico Bellota - Coto de Galán - Castuera (Badajoz) - Extremadura

Salchichon by Coto de Galán is produced from pigs with at least 75% Iberian breed. Animals are fed on an extensive diet with acorns and grass during the “Montanera” period, when pigs are allowed to roam freely in the "Dehesa".
