Bottarga, Mullet Roe – Whole 100g

Bottarga is salted and air-dried roe. It’s a speciality from Sardinia and is regarded as the caviar of the Mediterranean.

This Bottarga is made from grey mullet eggs and comes from Cabras, one of the most important production areas for premium Bottarga.

Suggestion: our favourite way to eat Bottarga is grated and sprinkled on top of Spaghettini or Linguine, but it can also be thinly sliced and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil as an aperitif.

Tip: one method to preserve Bottarga is by cutting it into thin slices and soaking it in Olive Oil.
