Juan Pedro Domecq, 100% Iberico Ham Pata Negra, Chorizo and Salchichon -

Juan Pedro Domecq is a family business devoted to the production of 100% Ibérico de Bellota ham and charcuterie: chorizo and salchichón. Domecq family arrived in Spain in the 18th century. Since then they have been internationally known for their wines and spirits. Their sherry and brandy have been exported worldwide. Their second passion has been cattle breeding. With the same passion as breeders of bulls and horses, in 1978 Juan Pedro Domecq started to breed pigs. They just raise 100% Iberico pigs of a specific sub-breed from which their hams are produced. The best breed for the production of ham was selected on the basis of genetic studies carried out by Juan Pedro Domecq Solis. He had learnt from his family that fine wine production takes time, and that the best wines age in the calm of the wine cellars. To the same extent, he realised that it takes time, effort and passion to grow pigs from which the best Ibérico Hams are produced. Juan Pedro Domecq distinctive product is the Jamon de Bellota 100% Iberico PATA NEGRA. The production process is entirely artisan and is aimed at providing final consumers with the best tasting experience. Juan Pedro Domecq has been awarded 3 Gold Stars as the best Iberico Ham at the Great Taste Awards 2015 for the third year in a row.
